On March 23, 2009 the Oceanic Bay Hotel & Resort was completely destroyed by a fire. It is now being completely rebuilt and will reopen soon.

The reconstruction process, which is about to be finished, includes a complete redesign and upgrade of rooms and facilities.

Conference rooms have been entirely upgraded with high-end technology for presentation, such as video projectors/beamers, overhead projectors, wireless microphones, loud speakers and such. Capacities were doubled and Oceanic Bay Hotel & Resort will now be able to offer 6 instead of 3 conference rooms for 10 to 400 pax.

For general accommodation, 86 Superior Rooms and 6 Suites will be available, together with 2 premium restaurants and our well known Mbuyu Bar.

We are confident that our new and upgraded facilities will make Oceanic Bay Hotel & Resort the new standard in the hospitality industry, be it for business, conferencing or leisure.
